On August 17, clients, staff and former employees came together to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Audrey Page & Associates (part of The Career Insight Group) at a lunch on Sydney Habour, Australia.
Audrey Page was considered a pioneer of the Australian career transition market, with a strong held belief that people impacted by job loss needed better support than they were often given. Taking that notion Audrey went on to build a very successful business that became a market leader before her passing in 2015, when the business was acquired by The Career Insight Group. During the event the audience heard from her son Graham who is still a member of the Board of Directors, about his mother’s vision and how that still permeates through the business to this day and how it continues to innovate and support the employees of its clients.
They also heard from two eminent alumni of the organisation Lucy Brogden, Chair and Commissioner of the Australian Mental Health Commission and Elizabeth Broderick AO, former Australian Sex Discrimination Commissioner and now UN Human Rights Council Special Rapporteur and Independent Expert on the issue of discrimination against women in law and practice. Both Lucy and Elizabeth spoke about their career journeys and the impact that the career advice they got from Audrey had on them.
Looking forward the business also heard from CEO Scott Wagstaff about his vision for the business and the role that technology is now playing in the way Audrey Page and Associates works to ensure their participants still receive the level of care and support that Audrey believed so important while continuing to take advantage of the way technology helps participants connect with the job market.
The event was a great opportunity to connect with clients and colleagues and celebrate a legacy while looking forward to the future.
